Jayar Tolentino
Widely acknowledged as a prominent figure in the dynamic and thriving creative scene of Las Vegas, has left an indelible impact throughout his remarkable career. Born in the Philippines and raised in Las Vegas, Jayar embarked on his artistic journey at a young age, channeling his marketing prowess into leading street promotion teams for an independent record label. His exceptional talent soon garnered him opportunities to share the stage with renowned pop groups such as Kai and One Voice, setting the stage for an extraordinary career trajectory.
As time passed, Jayar’s focus transitioned towards event production, co-founding the Waterhole Kingdom in 2007 and Tuesday Blend in 2009. He also became a valued marketing partner for the esteemed fashion brand HippoEsthetics, utilizing his expertise to promote their unique vision. Additionally, Jayar took on a Field Marketing Position to successfully launch Vuqo Vodka, an exceptional top-shelf vodka imported from the Philippines, into the United States in 2012. In 2015, he further expanded his horizons by establishing the Waterhole Ultra Lounge, a vibrant bar in Las Vegas’ Chinatown.
Jayar’s trajectory continued to soar as he assumed the role of CEO of Gatekeepers Industries and Chief Content Officer for FilAmTV Network. In collaboration with the Fil-American Post, he works closely with the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) and FilAm communities, providing unwavering support to artists and creatives. His passion for curating impactful events, facilitating live-streaming opportunities, and fostering the growth of artists has elevated the cultural landscape of Las Vegas. Jayar is also partnered with District Arts Dance Studio alongside Bboy Ronnie, a Redbull Boy Athlete who shares the same passion for providing an outlet for creatives and giving back to the dance community.
In the face of personal challenges such as partial blindness in one eye and recovering from a stroke, Jayar’s tenacity remains unwavering. He remains an inspirational trailblazer within Vegas’ cultural arts industry, continuously defying odds and pushing boundaries. Recognizing the need for support, Jayar founded the nonprofit organization Immix Alliance, dedicated to empowering content creators. His tireless efforts have garnered recognition and acclaim from esteemed institutions, including the Governor, Senate, House of Representatives, and AAPI Chamber of Commerce, all of whom applaud his exceptional contributions.
