Las Vegas, NV – FilAmTV Network proudly announces that Alexis Aubrey has been cast as the lead, Elena Corazon, in the highly anticipated six-episode romantic comedy series Maid to Shine. The production required a rare talent—someone who could seamlessly blend acting and singing—and Alexis, a seasoned performer with an impressive artistic background, rose to the challenge.
After an extensive search for the right talent, the production team is thrilled to welcome Alexis to the cast. “We auditioned many talented women, but Alexis stood out. She has the down-to-earth quality that Elena needs as a single mom, yet she also brings the star power necessary to transition her character to her own spotlight as the series unfolds,” said the show’s director, Giovannie Espiritu.
As the 2019 MyPlay Star Search Grand Winner, Alexis Aubrey brings both charisma and depth to the role of Elena, a hardworking Filipina maid in Las Vegas with an extraordinary talent for singing. Her character’s life takes an unexpected turn after meeting Gabriel Rivera, a famous Filipino pop star, setting the stage for a heartfelt journey of self-discovery, love, and dreams.
Alexis is a versatile thespian, performer, and event host, trained at the prestigious University of the Philippines, Diliman. She has starred in several Philippine independent films, winning a Best Actress award for her work. As a professional singer, she has performed internationally in Singapore, Bahrain, and Utah, securing victories in various singing competitions. Beyond her on-screen talents, Alexis has also worked as an executive producer and casting director for TV commercials in the Philippines.
Maid to Shine—set against the vibrant neon backdrop of Las Vegas—blends music, romance, and comedy, creating an inspiring narrative about finding one’s voice and pursuing dreams against the odds. The team couldn’t be more excited to have Alexis Aubrey lead the series, bringing her unique charm and expertise to this dynamic role.
