Community Leader Rozita Lee Joins Cast of ‘Maid to Shine’ as Mama Corazon

Las Vegas, NV – The upcoming romantic comedy series Maid to Shine, set against the dazzling neon lights of Las Vegas, proudly announces the casting of Rozita Lee in the pivotal role of Mama Corazon.

Maid to Shine follows the journey of Elena, a Filipina maid with an extraordinary hidden talent for singing, and her unlikely romance with Gabriel Rivera, a famous Filipino pop star. A beloved figure in the Filipino-American community and a champion for social change, Rozita Lee brings her wealth of experience, talent, and commitment to civility to the series, embodying the heart and strength of the matriarch who Elena had to leave in the Philippines.

Rozita Lee is widely recognized for her work as an advocate and community leader, particularly in promoting Filipino culture and fostering civility in public life. Her dedication to the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (CAPACD) and leadership in promoting civil rights and racial equality has earned her numerous accolades. Lee’s tireless efforts in bridging cultural gaps and her advocacy for kindness and mutual respect in civic engagement will lend a deep sense of compassion and wisdom to her portrayal of Mama Corazon.

Executive producers Esmeralda Padilla-Gould and Sam Buban expressed their excitement about Lee joining the project. “We are honored to have Rozita Lee as part of the Maid to Shine family. Her portrayal of Mama Corazon will bring both warmth and wisdom to the screen, qualities that Rozita herself embodies in real life. Her lifelong work in promoting civility and unity resonates with the themes of the show,” said Esmeralda Padilla-Gould, VP & COO of FilAmTV Network.

Directed by Giovanie Espiritu, Maid to Shine is slated for a six-episode run and promises to bring heartfelt storytelling with humor and music, exploring themes of identity, love, and cultural pride.

The series is set to begin filming later this year, with a highly anticipated premiere in 2025. Keep an eye out for updates on FilAmTV.us and the official Maid to Shine social media channels.
