‘Maid to Shine’ tells the story of Elena Santos, a hardworking Filipina maid with a hidden talent for singing. The series delves into themes of self-discovery, love, and the pursuit of dreams while navigating the complexities of family, identity, and class.
Ashley Rapuano takes on the role of Nollie, a nurse in a senior care facility and a fiercely loyal friend to Elena. Nollie serves as Elena’s hype woman and the mastermind behind lighthearted mischief.
Ashley Rapuano is a multifaceted talent with deep roots in Las Vegas. As an actor, filmmaker, and musician, she graduated with a degree in Stage and Screen Acting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Rapuano’s extensive background in standup, improv, and sketch comedy spans cities like New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and international venues. She has worked with esteemed comedy institutions such as Upright Citizen’s Brigade (LA & NYC), The People’s Improv Theater (NYC), and Vegas Theater Hub (LV).
In addition to her acting career, Ashley is proudly part of the Vegas-based indie band Sanalba and half of the rock duo Take the Skies, where she sings and plays rhythm guitar, drums, and additional percussion. Her music has been featured in several films, and she is often found playing music in the studio or a coffee shop with her husband, Jarod Sanchez. Together, they also run Hammsterden Records, an indie record label, recording studio, and creative space.
